No hesitation

I pause and lean to hear through the elevator doors. The elevator isn't making those usual whizz and whirls that let's you know it's on it's way to pick you up. I pause, and press the button again, and again. The 2000 pound box is usually submissive and comes to me at my beck and call with the push of an index finger. I press again, nothing. I look at the elevator doors again and ask in my head "now what!?". The thin man next to me does not hestitate. He takes the stairs.

Orangeade

Apparently I shouldn't drink entire containers of juice in one day. but it was so good. and what the fuck is orangeade? I didn't know either. That's why I bought it. I bought Limeade too, but that made more sense. It's probably similar to the 'purple stuff' that they mentioned in the Sunny D commercials, except they couldn't call it 'orange stuff'. would be bad marketing.

Experiential Oatmeal

I followed the directions on the box and the oatmeal still tastes bland. It tastes like bread so it's like eating some mushy baked good with a spoon. The taste experience is no good. BUT

breakthrough!

the brain LOVES oatmeal. My soul loves oatmeal. Every bite of the bland adventure is a reminder that "this thing's gotta be healthy, it tastes like blah". And I'm lovin' it. Every bite, I'm like, "huh, I'm totally healthy and it's defining the new me". It's a new experience for my brain rather than my palate.

weight: 222lbs.

Breakfast

This breakfast thing is phenomenal! I lost 5 lbs. Eating oatmeal has an emotional appeal. It tastes so bland I feel AWESOME and feel like I'm getting healthier just eating it.

Living til 90

Living til you're 90 is all well and good, but finding the reason why you want to live 'til you're 90 is even more important.

When I find something worth living for. something worth dying for. Is maybe when living til 90 seems like a necessity.

Yogurt

Fat people never buy yogurt. We just don't. I bought it for the first time. EVER. Not one of those pansy single size cups. I got one of those big huge tubs. I control my yogurt intake, not Yoplait, not any body.

I like yogurt because you don't have to chew, you can just suck from the front of your teeth. That'd be fun to do with a veggie burger.

Law of Thin People #1

Law #1 of Thin People is You gotta eat food to lose weight. Sounds counter intuitive.

so I bought some groceries for breakfast
eggs
italian parsley
cucumber
roma tomatoes
pineapple
bannas
whole wheat bread
oatmeal
onions
juice
yogurt

this should be at least ten breakfasts.

Interview with Richard Huskey

He may be named Huskey, but Richard lost 75 pounds from 250. I googled "250 pounds" to see what that looks like. I found an article of a pig, stuck in a pool, who needed the help of firefighters to get out. It weighed 250lbs. No pictures, but I get an image of what that is. Richard is thin now because he lives like a thin person.

He says:
He eats breakfast, lunch and dinner. Three meals no matter what.
He doesn't eat after 8PM.
He exercises.

Today I had a cookie for breakfast, two cookies for a mid morning snack, and a cookie for lunch. This is when he said I'd get diabetes so I went and bought an avocado sandwhich and started this blog.

still 227 lbs.

Live Like Thin People

Get Thin By Living Like Thin People is a new book I'm writing. This is where I'll log my journey and formulate my thoughts.
