Blood pressure

I have high blood pressure. Been researching how to lower it.

In just two days of barely eating any salt, and eating a healthier meal, the systolic and diastolic both dropped, by ~10 to ~15. I'll have to continue to monitor this to see if it drops any further from diet alone. Seems like it's just to maintain this lower pressure.

120/80 is normal
139/89 is prehypertension
159/99 is Stage 1 Hypertension
160/100 is Stage 2 Hypertension

I'm at Stage 2 with diastolic and Stage 1 with sistolic.

Methods: • lower salt below 2400mg, or below 1500mg is even better. eat more potassium (mushrooms, spinach, yogurt, bananas)
• fat loss, every BMI point increase is a hypertension increase of 6%.
• healthy eating can drop it from 1 to 6.4 percent
• no alcohol
• meditation??
• EXERCISE. drops for even healthy people.

15 lbs loss 3 weeks

Diet and regular sleep can help you lose weight. For the late half of 2013 I usually only slept about 5 to 6 hours a day, sometimes 3 or 4. During vacation I upped it to the regular 8 to 10. Regular amount of sleep for 8 days - loss of 5 lbs. Diet and Regular sleep for 8 days - loss of 10 lbs. Diet, Regular sleep and exercise 8 days - ??? lbs. Every two weeks I should mentally recommit to the weightloss so I can be pumped for the next two weeks. No expectation of current results as it will slow down, but an expectation of loss.

Stay hungry stay foolish

Step 1: Don't eat for 24 hours. result: your stomach shrinks and you get REALLY REALLY HUNGRY. Step 2: Go buy healthy food from the supermarket. Like vegetables. Step 3: Eat it without any dressing. IT TASTES SO GOOD. Step 4: Eat until you're 80% full. BECAUSE IT'S A JAPANESE SAYING. Step 6: Sleep 8 hours Step 7: Reduce stress Step 8: Join a Gym. Step 9: Lose 11 lbs Step 10: Lose 60 lbs.

Back again

Well, it's time to get healthy for good. New experiments, this time with technology!

Last time I tried, the only assistant I got was the gym. This time it'll be no gym, but apps! Let's see if that works better. Last time I lost 40lbs in 2.5 months. This time I'm going to try to make it a steady loss (if I can).

I'll be using the Myfitnesspal to calculate my caloric intake and I'll be using Zombie Run app to have a little fun on my jogs.

Let's see how it goes!

I will always be a fat person

I'll always have the mindset of a fat person. I love eating, most of the time over eating. I love junk food, I love, not necessarily soda, but sugary drinks. I'm lazy and take the elevator upstairs. I eat big meals instead of little snacks.

BUT I can always pretend to be a thin person and DO what a thin person does to GET thin. I'll never BE a thin person, in terms of how they think and how they act, but I can look like one.

3.5 mile run today. pretty pumped considering it's the eighth day since I started!
