Diet Research

Long-Term Diet Study Suggests Success Is Hard to Come By
They tested a low-fat diet vs a low carb diet vs a Mediterranean diet (whatever the fuck that is) for TWO YEARS to see what was best... what a WASTE of money.

YOU KNOW WHAT FUCKING WORKS!? a low-fat-AND-low-carb-don't-eat-like-a-fat-person diet. With two to three hours of exercise a day.

Dear diet research people: Don't waste your research dollars! Give ME a million dollars and I can tell you what works!!!

Offset

A man, clearly a smoker, with residue of his freshly finished cancer sticks emanating from his clothes filled the locker room. This man had it right, you can offset your smoking habit by exercising. Genius.

I ran 4 miles. I sweat so much the sweat stain on the front of the shirt and the back of the shirt, connected.

Last week I could not sleep

Last week I could not sleep because I went to go exercise til 1:00AM and my heart was racing. Commons sense would be to "not exercise so fucking late". ON THE OTHER HAND I should be able to sleep whenever I want. I should have enough control over my body. SO, I'm going to train myself to exercise and still be able to fall asleep quickly.

I just got back from the gym. 11PM to 1:15AM. Lifting and 3.5 miles. it's 2AM now. we'll see if I can fall asleep.

cardio vs resistance

Resistance/Weight training is physical. No mental skills needed. Perfect for meat-heads.
Cardiovascular exercise is NOT physical. It's mental. My highschool cross country team was full of nerds.
Flexibility is not for meat heads or nerds but from what I've seen there are a lot of women in Yoga.

Certain exercises draw certain crowds. fascinating.

I am a machine

I ran 3.5 mile just now (I started excercising at 11:30PM yesterday til 1AM, does this count as two days of working out!?) .

I was really tired so I kept repeating in my head "I am a machine! I am a machine!" to keep myself going, but after awhile it felt very mechanical and so I changed it to "I am a highly motivated organic matter! I am a highly motivated organic matter!" and that seemed to work much better.

Still Sweating

This week my goal was to run three mile run/jog. It's Friday and I FINALLY got up to three mile jog. It's also been thirty minutes since I stopped running and I'm STILL sweating. WTF!
